Engagement: Candice & Hammond – Lake Martin, Alabama

I’ve been lucky to know Candice and Hammond for few years now, through my good friend Kamee. We used to all go out to dinner and jokingly talk about how Candice wanted me to shoot their wedding if they ever got engaged, and I would say that if they ever got engaged they knew who to call. Well one night, after a Britney Spears concert, Hammond popped the question and not too long after that, I got the phone call. 🙂

They decided on Lake Martin as the location for their session, since they spent quite a bit of time there in the summer. Hammond’s great at sailing, so they arranged to shoot on a sailboat while we were there. There was supposed to be a good chance of rain that day, but thankfully, it stayed dry and we got an awesome cloudy sky out of the deal. Stumbling across an empty lot full of weeds was an added bonus!
