It’s funny how two people, who are clearly meant to be together but are from opposite sides of the world, are able to find each other in the first place. Sarah (who’s from Birmingham, AL) and Henry (who’s from England) met when they were both teaching English in France (what are the chances?). They brought a whole new meaning to long distance relationships – at one point Henry went to visit Sarah in Cameroon when she was in the Peace Corps (say what???).
Eventually, one thing led to another and they both came to Alabama to be together. Their destination wedding was going to take place in North Carolina, not far from where her family has a cabin in Cashiers, but since we had a very narrow window in which to schedule their engagement session, we decided the best option would be to shoot that in Montgomery at Blount Cultural Park (often called the Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Park, or just Shakespeare by locals). They were gorgeous and sweet and silly and fun, and I couldn’t wait to see what their wedding would be like. Keep an eye out for another post here featuring their Lonesome Valley wedding (expertly designed and executed by Invision Events) soon!
