Portrait: Sarah & Ryan – Tallassee, Alabama

When Sarah first contacted me, it was because she really wanted me to shoot her wedding – unfortunately, I was already booked for the date. Not too long after that first conversation, she contacted me again to see if I could do some pictures for them AFTER the wedding, both engagement style as well as in their wedding clothes, since I wasn’t available for the big day. So just a few days after their wedding, we met up at a little barn in Tallassee. Sarah reminds me a little bit of Megan Fox, so when I saw there was an old truck outside the barn, I knew we had to do a little tribute to the scene in Transformers where the audience first sees Megan working under the hood of a car:Careful, Ryan – you act up and she might use that thing:Just before this picture was shot, Sarah stepped on a loose board and almost fell through the floor. We freaked out for a second, but she toughed it out and we kept right on going:Sarah brought along a yellow chair that once belonged to her grandmother – so naturally, the wacky photographer wants to put it in the street along the yellow lane lines. I think we moved in and out of the street at least 6 or 7 times before we got the shot because of approaching cars. Apparently, even in the country, you have to deal with traffic!
