Maternity Portrait: Nicole – Montgomery, Alabama

When I arrived at the house I was greeted by Finn, a very sweet black lab who carried a stuffed duck toy in his mouth like a security blanket. Of course I had to put him in a few shots, and he was happy to participate. I have a feeling he’s going to be a good big brother to his new little sister. 😉a dog in a maternity portrait shoot by chanterelle photography in montgomery alabamaa montgomery alabama maternity session by chanterelle photographya maternity portrait session in old cloverdalea lifestyle maternity portrait session in montgomery alabamaa dog in a maternity portrait session in montgomery alabamaan outdoor maternity portrait session in old cloverdale alabama

From Our “Hood” to Yours – Christmas 2012

It’s that time of year again, when Missy and I put our heads together to come up with something special for the Chanterelle Photography Christmas card. I call Missy “my little granny” (she’s 14 years old now), so for 2012, I figured why not let her BE a little granny? So she became my kind of big, not so bad wolf in Grandma’s clothing; I busted out the hood, and we headed for the forest. 🙂

Wedding: Caitlin & Bryan – Eastern Hills Baptist Church & Renaissance Montgomery Hotel – Montgomery, Alabama

You know your wedding is off to a good start when your soon-to-be married name has hugs and kisses in it:wedding rings at eastern hills baptist church ceremonyI loved the subtle color of Caitlin’s Alfred Angelo gown (it’s called “harvest”), but what I loved more was her “something blue”: a blue ribbon from her sister Megan’s wedding, accented with an airplane charm. It was like a tiny little shout-out to the pilot groom, who proposed to Caitlin at 12,000 feet:an alfred angelo gown at an eastern hills wedding in montgomery alabamaAnother personal touch came in the form of Caitlin’s grandmother’s brooch, which was affixed to her Rosemont Gardens bouquet:an antique brooch on a rosemont gardens bouquet at a montgomery alabama weddinga bride getting ready for an eastern hills baptist church wedding in montgomery alBut at the end of the day, there’s no more personal touch than a tear. Bridal Portrait: Lizzie – Birmingham, Alabama

I don’t think Lizzie could take a bad picture if she tried. She could probably grow a third eye in the middle of her forehead, and somehow it would come off as cute and endearing. Since she had two wedding dresses to shoot in (one a traditional Vietnamese style, the other a classic white gown), her mad skills in front of a camera were going to get a workout – and it paid off, because this is one of my favorite bridal portrait sessions EVER. 🙂a birmingham alabama bride wears two wedding dressesa vietnamese bride portrait in birmingham alabamaa vietnamese bridal portrait for a birmingham alabama weddinga bride in a vietnamese wedding dress in birmingham alabamaa birmingham alabama bridal portraita dramatic black and white bridal portrait in birmingham alabamaa morris avenue cobblestone bridal portrait in birmingham alabamaSpecial thanks to HotHouse Design Studio for working their magic with us!
