Portrait: Matthew – Montgomery, Alabama

The last time I saw Matthew, he wasn’t crawling yet – now he’s off and running, petting every dog that happens to be walking by, tossing a tiny soccer ball, and riding his tricycle:One minute he’s showing you where his belly button is……and the next minute he’s striking an Abercrombie & Fitch pose:

Engagement: Kaitlyn & Chris – Kiesel Park – Auburn, Alabama

The elements must have been following me – in my last post, I mentioned that it rained the entire day of the wedding. Well, at Kaitlyn and Chris’ engagement session, the wind blew all day! After changing directions a couple of times and fixing some flyaway hair, it all worked out in the end.

Wedding: Kedron & James – St. John’s Episcopal Church & Alley Station – Montgomery, Alabama

If it’s true that rain on your wedding day is good luck, Kedron and James need to buy a lottery ticket! The breaks in the rain were only long enough for us to get from one cover to another at St. John’s Episcopal Church, but even though the day may have been gray, the atmosphere was definitely warm. 🙂 The train of Kedron’s Jasmine Bridal Couture gown ended in a bubble hem:James gave Kedron a silver bracelet to wear on their wedding day – she gave him Scrabble cufflinks with their initials on them:I loved the wording on the dust bag for Kedron’s Kate Spade shoes:The reception at the Alley Station ballroom was full of beautiful food……but the highlight was the topper on the bride’s cake (did you notice where the bride’s hand is?)Thank you, Kedron and James, for smiling through the rain!

Wedding: Brooke & Bruno – Gateway Baptist Church & Wynlakes Country Club – Montgomery, Alabama

Technically, Brooke and Bruno were already married – they had TWO weddings; one in Brazil for Bruno’s side of the family, and one in Montgomery about a month later for Brooke’s family. I only know one word in Portuguese, which made communication with Bruno’s family interesting (by the way, “obrigado” = thank you)! We started the day in Montgomery at Gateway Baptist Church, the same place where Bruno first told Brooke that he loved her, and where her Alfred Angelo gown hung the day of their wedding:The gorgeous flowers and event coordination were courtesy of Weddings by Jill:I loved the monogram at the top of their programs, made up of two intertwined B’s – you’ll see it again at the reception:The gesture Bruno made as they were getting ready to leave the church was sweet……but the tears in his eyes as he watched his dad welcome his new daughter-in-law were sweeter:The reception at Wynlakes Country Club was illuminated with their monogram on the dance floor:The cakes were by Peggy McKinney – the bride’s cake featured a portion of the well-known Bible verse from Corinthians (which was also on the wall where Brooke’s dress was hanging earlier in the day):Many thanks to Brooke & Bruno for giving me inspiration to brush up on basic words in foreign languages. 🙂
