Engagement: Polly & Stu – Seabrook Island, South Carolina

Yep, you read that right: engagement. When I heard that Polly and Stu were in their “September years” (Stu’s words), I thought to myself, “How awesome is that???” These two are a couple of the coolest people you’ll ever meet – they do Pilates together and they’re big college basketball fans. They even made sure when they planned their wedding, that it wouldn’t interfere with The Final Four!

Portrait: Cassidy – Montgomery, Alabama

The first thing I noticed about Cassidy (okay, maybe not the first thing – her big blue eyes and adorable little lips are hard to overlook) was her perfectly round head! Apparently I wasn’t the first to notice, she gets that a lot! It was hot outside the day of her session, which she didn’t like, but after a couple of breaks in the cool inside air, we got the pictures we needed.

Wedding Albums: Katie & LeRoy and Karoline & Chris

There must have been a reptilian vibe in the air when it came time to choose the covers for these two albums. Katie and LeRoy went with a brownish alligator print, while Karoline and Chris chose a green lizard print. They were both paired with a distressed brown leather to make two different, but equally hip wedding albums!

Engagement: Emily & Adam – Auburn, Alabama

Snow and Alabama are usually two words that don’t mix. But this year, in the middle of an extra long, cold winter, there was snow in Alabama, and plenty of it. Emily and Adam’s engagement session was originally scheduled for the day AFTER the major snowfall was expected, but since I had to reschedule a couple of outdoor baby sessions due to the weather, we decided to move the session up and play in the snow! We carefully drove to Auburn and thought we might have just a few nice flurries in the pictures, but the snow was coming down so fast I had to hold an umbrella over my head while I was shooting to keep it from flying into the camera. I think the results were worth it, and we even had time to dry off and take some snow-free pics:Hellooooooooo fabulous eyes!

Fresh from my Irish adventure!

You may have noticed it’s been a little while since my last blog post. Well, it was for good reason, because I was on a trip to Ireland! Yep – the Emerald Isle, the land of cliffs and castles, and the home of Guinness. I will of course be posting TONS of pictures, but while I’m catching up on the work that was waiting for me at home, I’ll leave you with a little teaser that sums up my feelings about the trip:(the city of Dublin, shot through a window at the Guinness Storehouse)
