Engagement: Kate & Chase – Pike Road, Alabama

After jumping in a truck and driving around a bit, we realized that parts of Kate’s family farm were turned to muck after a couple of days of rain and weren’t usable for shooting. Good thing it was a big place and there was enough sun that morning to dry certain areas enough for us to come up with something a little sweet, a little rustic, and a little sexy!ruddblog7ruddblog2ruddblog6Kate has had her horse, Clipper, for most of her life, so I had to make sure he made an appearance. 🙂ruddblog1ruddblog4ruddblog5ruddblog3

Portrait: The Deneke Family – Auburn, Alabama

It had been a year since I’d seen Camille and Caroline, and I wondered if I would FINALLY be able to tell them apart. Turns out I could – their faces have slightly different shapes. The fact that I could tell the difference had nothing to do with Camille bumping her nose earlier in the day, which left a telltale mark (really)! They also made sure I got my exercise, as all two year olds do; so with twins, I was able to skip the cardio for a couple of days!denekeblog1denekeblog2denekeblog4denekeblog5denekeblog6denekeblog7denekeblog3

Engagement: Jennifer & Troy – Auburn, Alabama

Jennifer and Troy (along with their dog Gunner) decided to do their engagement session on the Auburn University campus – we even did a few shots in the area where one of them first said I love you to the other one. But I’m not going to tell you which one, and I’m not going to tell you exactly where. 🙂 stubbsblog5stubbsblog4stubbsblog7stubbsblog6stubbsblog3stubbsblog2stubbsblog1

Wedding Albums: Deanna & Eric and Marie & Tommy

It must have been a “brown” week – Deanna & Eric chose a distressed brown leather for their album cover, accented by an ostrich texture in a golden tone. Then Marie & Tommy chose a solid chocolate brown leather with a touch of caramel toned lizard. And who said brown has to be neutral?albumblog1pasleyalbumblog1pasleyalbumblog2pasleyalbumblog3stylesalbumblog1stylesalbumblog2stylesalbumblog3

Merry Christmas to all – and to all, a really rad card!

It’s getting harder and harder to come up with something unique for our Christmas card – after last year’s “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” card, we had our work cut out for us. This year, Missy and I decided to keep things simple and chic, with a retro twist! Happy holidays to all of you, we hope you eat too much, watch a Christmas movie that makes you warm and fuzzy, and all your Christmas wishes come true!christmascardfrontchristmascardback
