Commercial Photography: Doug’s 2 Salon & Spa – Montgomery, Alabama

It had been a couple of years since I did the last round of headshots for the folks at Doug’s 2, so there were lots of new employees that needed pictures, plus others that needed updates since their styles had changed.  Either way, they’re all easy to shoot because you know no one is going to show up with unruly hair or bad makeup!

Bridal Portrait: Rosemary – Alabama Shakespeare Festival – Montgomery, Alabama

Rosemary’s classic David Tutera gown was a perfect fit – both for her and for the setting she chose for her bridal portrait session.  She booked some private session time inside the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, which included access to the beautiful Patrons’ Room.  I can just imagine photographing a bride getting ready in that room, with its perfect little settee, tapestries, and of course, a bust of William Shakespeare.  Since this was a bridal portrait session and not her wedding, we didn’t need to take those kinds of pictures, but since her daughter Cat came along to help, we made sure the pictures we DID take were tweaked to perfection. 🙂

Portrait: The Hager Family – The University of Alabama – Tuscaloosa, Alabama

I’ve been photographing the Hagers for a long time – probably almost as long as I’ve been a photographer.  But it was still a little hard for me to believe that their oldest daughter Leah was graduating from high school and was in need of a few senior pictures.  I don’t think she was old enough to be in school AT ALL when I met her!  Her mom Angie thought it would be a good time to refresh their family photos too, and include her in-laws.  Leah had decided to attend The University of Alabama, so we had the perfect opportunity to take a generational pic.  Leah would be the fourth generation to join the Crimson Tide, following her dad, her grandfather, and great-grandfather.  So Leah, her parents, her grandparents, her sister, and I headed to Tuscaloosa to preserve that historical event in pictures!
