I can’t believe it’s been a month since my last blog post (bad Julie!). Between editing and designing wedding albums, it’s been pretty busy around here, so hopefully I’ll make up for the delay with this extra-long-chock-full-of-wedding-goodness post! One rainy morning, Candice and Hammond made their way to First Baptist Church in Montgomery to tie the knot. If I had to pick one word to describe the day, it would be “luxe” – and what is more luxe than diamonds? If you think you can’t find stylish flats to wear for your wedding, I’ve got four words for you: sparkly silver Jimmy Choos! The fabulous flowers, decor, and event planning were courtesy of Weddings by Jill:When Hammond first saw Candice in her Pronovias gown, he looked a bit starstruck……and I could hardly blame him, because Candice makes gorgeous look effortless:The Wynlakes Country Club Ballroom was decked out in crystals, shades of pale blue, and candlelight:The father-daughter dance started out innocently sweet……until the music turned into a booty shakin’ remix and the most EPIC choreographed dance routine ever!!! This was a total surprise to everyone, including me!A little Pulp Fiction, anyone?Superstar!!!The bride’s cake was courtesy of Olexa’s in Birmingham:And they attacked the always popular chocolate peanut butter groom’s cake from Peggy McKinney Cakes:The Heather Hayes Band brought the funk from Atlanta:And at the stroke of midnight, Cinderella and her prince left the ball:Candice and Hammond: I hope your St. Lucia honeymoon was unforgettable – we need to get together for a La Jolla dinner with the crew sometime soon, it’s been too long!
Yeah… ummm…. I need a do-over on my wedding. These photographs rock.
