Wedding: Emma & Matt – First United Methodist Church & Capital City Club – Montgomery, Alabama

A wedding is a happy day – especially when it spells the end of a long distance relationship, and the beginning of a much closer one. 🙂wedding rings at first united methodist church in old cloverdalebride getting ready at first united methodist church in montgomery alabama

When Emma and her two sisters were little girls, their dad (not mom!) always tied the sashes on their dresses into bows for them. So it was only appropriate for him to continue the tradition on the sash of Emma’s Martina Liana wedding gown:

Emma and her sisters are all accomplished singers, so before taking their turns down the aisle at First United Methodist Church, Wesley and Lauren sang for their big sister’s big day:

The happy couple was whisked away on the trolley to the Capital City Club, where the catering staff displayed a scrumptious spread, plus cakes by Peggy McKinney:

If you know me, then you know I’m always a sucker for father daughter moments, but I wasn’t expecting to get one of my favorite wedding images EVER. Seriously. I’m still swooning over this one.

The guests got down to the sounds of the Gürth Broox band (who just happen to be fraternity brothers of the groom), then gave the newlyweds a sparkling exit:
