When I rolled out of bed the morning of Katie and LeRoy’s wedding, I looked out the window to see if the weatherman was right. Yep. It had rained. And more was coming. But when I pulled up to Mulder Memorial United Methodist Church in Wetumpka a little while later, I wasn’t bummed out by the rain. Katie and LeRoy are impossibly cute together. I’m talking completely adorable. A little rain wasn’t going to get in the way of that.
There were so many sweet and funny little things that I noticed that day. The way Katie’s smile turns up at the corners just like her dad’s does. How LeRoy’s dad would change his expression for every frame when I was shooting, he said he was “modeling” for me to give me some variety. The way the flower girl walked around in a pair of too big high heels, and squinched up her nose when she was hamming for the camera. How Katie and her sister looked so much alike. I wanted to bear hug them all!
I don’t narrate my pictures very often, but I’m gonna do more of that here than I normally do, because I can. 🙂 And because there are few pictures that I just have to talk about. Ladies first.
Katie was a beautiful bride. And I don’t mean pretty. I mean STUNNING.Seriously, are you kidding me??? GORGEOUS.LeRoy’s no slouch either. I say I love his smile because he smiles with his whole face! Now we get to the juicy stuff. If your one of my Facebook friends, then you know that I made a comment about a certain series of pictures from this wedding that make my heart stop every time I look at them. It was when Katie and her dad first saw each other, shortly before he walked her down the aisle. You could literally watch his smile get bigger and bigger when he saw her in her dress:But it was her reaction that stole my heart.Time to get married:And of course take some more fun pictures! And they lived happily ever after. 🙂Thanks Katie & LeRoy for letting me be a part of your rainy day!
Oh my!!!! You are right, the tears came when I saw the shot of her face with Dad, you captured an amazing moment that I am sure she will cherish forever!! Once again, amazing work and another adorable bride and groom!!
