Maybe it’s because my dad was a retired Navy Lieutenant Commander. Maybe it’s because one of my closest friends is a retired Air Force Colonel. Maybe it’s because I spent a lot of time in military hospitals when I was growing up. I’ve got a soft spot for our military. It’s awesome for everyone to have a three day weekend before going back to the daily grind – and while you’re having fun, take a minute to remember why you get that extra day off to hang out at the lake or have a backyard bbq.
