The setting couldn&#8217;t have been more perfect &#8211; a gorgeous rustic home in Wadley, built by Emily&#8217;s dad. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/orangecountyweddingphotographer01.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"orangecountyweddingphotographer01\" width=\"900\" height=\"579\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2229\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/orangecountyweddingphotographer01.jpg 900w, https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/orangecountyweddingphotographer01-300x193.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/>Emily put a personal and vintage twist on every last detail.  She made her own bouquet and the cameo that was pinned to it was given by her dad to her mom on their wedding day.  She wore the same veil her mother wore.  And her dress?  She bought the lace bodice on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\">Etsy<\/a> <strong>before<\/strong> she bought the dress &#8211; and just happened to find a dress later that the bodice fit over perfectly.  Serendipity at its best!<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/orangecountyweddingphotographer02.jpg\" alt=\"\" house all ready to go, just in time to see his bride before the ceremony:<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" day, Emily asked if we could take some time after the ceremony for more pictures since she was changing from her mom&#8217;s veil to a birdcage veil for the reception.  Uh, more time for pictures??? The flower was originally attached to the top of her dress &#8211; she took it off to overlay the lace bodice, and then repurposed the flower for the new headpiece. Well that creative little bugger also DIY&#8217;d her centerpieces &#8211; using tea canisters, Mason jars, old bottles, and a teapot as containers:<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/orangecountyweddingphotographer18.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"orangecountyweddingphotographer18\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2249\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/orangecountyweddingphotographer18.jpg 900w, https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/orangecountyweddingphotographer18-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/>Their cake table had not one, not two, but <strong>five<\/strong> cakes, courtesy of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teresascatering.com\">Teresa&#8217;s Catering<\/a>, so guests could choose what they wanted.  The mini cake buffet featured traditional flavors like white cream cake and yellow cake, and Southern favorites like red velvet and caramel cake.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/orangecountyweddingphotographer19.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"orangecountyweddingphotographer19\" width=\"900\" height=\"533\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/orangecountyweddingphotographer19.jpg 900w, https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/orangecountyweddingphotographer19-300x177.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/>I was (and still am) madly in love with their cake topper.
