I like to plan, analyze, and look at things from all sides before I make a decision.  But if you REALLY know me, then you also know that every now and then, I get a wild hair. \ud83d\ude09  I always wanted to visit Paris, and wondered what it would be like to live there (even though I speak almost zero French &#8211; unless you count &#8220;bonjour&#8221;, &#8220;merci&#8221;, and &#8220;chanterelle&#8221;).  So&#8230;a few months ago, I rented an apartment in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.parisinfo.com\/\">Paris<\/a> for 2 weeks, booked a flight and went&#8230;solo!  <\/p>\n<p>Some people thought I was nuts, but the way I figure, <em>life&#8217;s gonna happen whether you like it or not<\/em>.  You can sit around waiting for it to happen TO you, or MAKE it happen the way you want it &#8211; and I&#8217;m not planning on putting my life on hold waiting for someone to go places with me.  Don&#8217;t get me wrong, it can be great to have company &#8211; my friend Leah and I had a great time in Ireland in 2010 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/?p=1986\">(check out some pics in a past blog post)<\/a>.
