{"id":575,"date":"2008-07-28T16:19:13","date_gmt":"2008-07-28T22:19:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chanterellephotography.wordpress.com\/?p=669"},"modified":"2011-02-13T08:03:40","modified_gmt":"2011-02-13T15:03:40","slug":"still-in-the-top-ten","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/still-in-the-top-ten\/","title":{"rendered":"Still in the top ten!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theprincetonreview.com\">The Princeton Review<\/a> (who rates the top colleges and universities) named my alma mater, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucsb.edu\">The University of California at Santa Barbara<\/a>, the number 9 party school in the country!  Yeah, I know, it&#8217;s an interesting claim to fame, back when I was there I think we were number 2, so I guess things have calmed down a bit (although I don&#8217;t remember partying a whole lot, I was busy in the lab being a pharmacology major &#8211; but I admit I had my moments, haha).  Party school reputation aside, UCSB has to have one of the most beautiful campuses anywhere, and I totally miss the awesome weather.  If you get a chance to visit Santa Barbara, go!  And while you&#8217;re there, have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freebirds.com\">Freebirds<\/a> burrito and a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.drinkblenders.com\">Blenders in the Grass<\/a> smoothie for me!<\/p>\n<p>*EDITED TO ADD: I am cracking up here &#8211; I just saw that UCSB was also ranked number 4 in the &#8220;Lots of Hard Liquor&#8221; category, and number 18 in &#8220;Reefer Madness&#8221; LOLOLOL!  Now I can tell you that I smelled a joint many times when walking around campus, but as far as the hard liquor thing goes &#8211; from what I remember, among the poor college students there was a heck of a lot more Natural Light than hard liquor!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/2617.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/2617.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"328\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-670\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/ucsb-campus.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/chanterellephotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/ucsb-campus.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"499\" height=\"332\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-671\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today The Princeton Review (who rates the top colleges and universities) named my alma mater, The University of California at Santa Barbara, the number 9 party school in the country!
